“Victory Through God-Esteem And Confidence.”

Jesus’ Question Of Evaluation
Jesus uses the study from Romans 8:31-39 and helps you with your confidence and esteem. 1 Corinthians 4:7 (NIV) says: “For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?” This is Jesus’ evaluation for where many get their value and confidence. They take the things God gave them and build their esteem and confidence on giving themselves the credit for it.

Self-Confidence
In 1 Samuel 17:43-46 (NIV), Goliath said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!” Goliath spoke from self-confidence and self-esteem.

God-Confidence
But, David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, Whom you have defied. This day the LORD will hand you over to me, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. Today I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. David spoke from God-confidence and God-esteem.

It is easy to see the difference between these two types of confidence and esteem. Jesus will use this study to help you get your value and confidence through Him so you can live a life of power and success that exceeds anything you would be able to do without them.
