Most of us want one thing and yet give other people something else. You know what you want in life; you know what you like; you know how you want to be treated; and you know how you want to be helped. What if you only did those things you wanted other to do to you? What if you only thought those things you wanted others to think about you? What if you only felt those things you wanted other people to feel about you? And, what if you only said those things you wanted others to say to you and about you? It would be then that you would really be a successful person.

It seems impossible for you to do what you want others to do to you. Sometimes you don’t feel they deserve it; sometimes it would mean you wouldn’t get what you want; and sometimes you just can’t seem to get the power to do the right things to other people. But, what if you somehow got the power and help from Jesus to live a life like that? People would trust you; people would like you; people would do business with you; people would want you, as their friend; and, people would be willing to help you be successful in life.

We all know Jesus has great power and abilities. And, we all have a pretty good idea that He wants us to be nice and kind to other people. But, a lot of people don’t seem to know what Jesus’ power has to do with us improving in our relationships. Jesus cares a lot about how you treat yourself and other people. He doesn’t want to give you money, possessions, positions, power, prestige, popularity, pleasure, and accomplishments and you use them to hurt people.

We can get money, possessions, positions, power, prestige, popularity, pleasure, and accomplishments by cheating, lying, misleading, hurting, and abusing other people. However, Jesus has a way to bless and prosper us that involves honesty, integrity, kindness, justice, and fairness. As a matter of fact, He requires these things to be used as you work together with Him to be successful in life. Jesus has a way for you to get money, possessions, positions, power, prestige, popularity, pleasure, and accomplishments that came through win/win relationships.

What if you had Jesus’ help with living every aspect of your live? Wouldn’t that raise your potential for being able to accomplish a lot more? What if Jesus was willing to teach you, train you, empower you, and equip you with all you needed? What if He helped you live a great life with Him, other people, and yourself? What if the Bible has all the information you need, so as to create this life in you? Wouldn’t that help you find the life that made you happy and be a winner?

Suppose you became a Christian and a whole bunch of people, who had been Christians for a long time, taught you the wrong things about the Bible and Jesus. Just imagine the confusion, frustration, and hopelessness that would fill your heart. You would look at these people and assume that they were the best representatives of what Christianity was all about. You would think that they were the experts on Who Jesus is and what He has to offer. But, what if these people were living far below all that Jesus wanted for them? What if they were misunderstanding what He wanted and what He required of them?

There is a big difference between you establishing a personal relationship with Jesus and you allowing someone to mediate between you and Him. If these books spend all the time telling you how to live your life, if training programs were developed that tell you what is right and wrong, and if you were refused to be told what you needed to do to go to Jesus yourself, then you only have a relationship with the progam. But, if Jesus built all these personal and spiritual studies the way He wants, they would be built around all the Scriptures that help you establish and build your own relationship with Jesus.

If you will allow Jesus to share His knowledge, foreknowledge of the future, understanding, wisdom, character, attitudes, and power with each of your friends personally, it will be like a light coming on and they will also be able to see life clearly. As you and your friends face life, there are a lot of things you can’t anticipate; there are a lot of things you don’t know; and there are a lot of things you can’t do. But, nothing is impossible with Jesus; nothing is outside His knowledge and influence. As long as you and your friends are willing to use your God-given free will to accept Jesus’ experiences, training, and character into your lives, He will share Himself and His resources with each of you as individuals.
