While you are praying, visiting with your friend, asking important questions, and listening to Jesus for how to help your friend, you can be getting familiar with Bible Life Counseling. The more you know about it, the more you will see how Jesus will use it to help your friend.

You are already trained, by Him in some very powerful ways. You are now ready to be helped understand how to be a minister. You will be amazed at how much is stored in your mind and heart just waiting to be activated. Jesus has worked and will continue to work miracles in your heart and mind; just trust Him!

If your friend is a Christian, who is struggling with an addiction, a major emotional, relational, or financial issue, then you would need to familiarize yourself with how to get to the series, what it looks like, and where your friend will be going. Go there by selecting, “I want to overcome a LIFE PROBLEM” on the WCTLC Start Page. On the next page, know how to choose a problem by selecting the icons on the collogue. Try the “Something Else?” icon on the bottom right corner of the collogue.

Now, go to your Growing: Year Two program and do the same thing. Just in case you forgot: Select “I want to HELP PEOPLE with their problems.” Select “I’m A Regular Participant In “Bible Life University”, then select Growing: Year Two. If your friend is not sure which problem is bothering them the most, you might start with “Finding The Right Problem.” Just go through it, as if you are your friend, to see if you can identify their main problem.

As you are asking them questions, you will start to see struggles that they are going through. You are looking for: What issue is bothering them the most? Which one is causing most of the others? Which one needs to be dealt with first? And, which one will motivate them to keep seeking Jesus’ help? If you feel you are ready to start them in their program and get started in your program, then that is enough practice.

There will be special needs your friend will have that will need to be addressed additionally. While you and your friend are going through a particular study, you may need supplimental prayers, books, booklets, pamphlets, and worksheets. However, unless you have a lot of time on your hands, you won’t need to familiarize yourself with all those things until an issue comes up.

The Resoure Materials are in categories, so you will be able to easily get familiar with those you need. When you have time or have a special need, just go to the WCTLC Start Page and select: I need RESOURCE MATERIALS to help others.

If you and your friend have any extra time, getting familar with the website is helpful. On the WCTLC Start Page, just select, “What is this WEBSITE all about?” It has information about all the programs available. If time allows, consider going to each program in the website and just read the introduction for each program. That will help you understand what Jesus has made available to you and your friend.
