It Takes Faith To Remain
John 15:4-5 (NIV) Remain IN Me, and I will remain IN you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain IN the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain IN Me. I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains IN Me and I IN him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.
Just as Jesus lived a life of righteousness and fulfilled a ministry of righteousness, so will He live and minister it out in us. As we said before, an idea or concept will enter our mind and feelings that will want to influence us from the world’s view point. The reason these thoughts and feelings from our body and the world come to us first is because this is the way we have always reacted to the events of life. |
If we wait for a few seconds, another idea or concept will come into our thoughts and feelings. This will be something that represents Biblical concepts. Jesus will be trying to flow through us with His life and ministry.
If we are willing to hunger and thirst after righteousness, then we will WANT Jesus’ way of doing things. This hungering and thirsting for righteousness is a deep “want” or desire for Jesus’ life and ministry. We wait for Him to speak to our thoughts and feelings and help us start living and ministering from His mind. Waiting instead of reacting is something we pray for, believe in, and start trying to take faith-action on. Waiting for thoughts and feelings from Jesus will get you into more of the life and ministry of Jesus. |
