Jesus’ Sermon On The Mount
Study Three

This Is Day Four

I Have The Victory In That Area Of My Life
The first step to salvation is realizing that you have a spiritual need. This is what a lot us saved people have forgot. Realizing you have a spiritual need is the first step to everything. One of the most important things the Spirit is going to teach us is that being poor in spirit is a continuous condition.

Being poor in spirit is a relational attitude concerning Jesus. There will never be an area of our lives where we no longer need His help.

Blessed are the poor in spirit applies to us if we are pastoring a church of a million or are unsaved and looking for a Savior.
John 15:5 (NIV) ...If a man REMAINS in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.

Our need is continuous. We never become great, wonderful, powerful, God’s answer to mankind, amazing, dynamic, satisfied, perfect, or any other spiritual quality.

If through ceasing to be “poor in spirit” we unplug from Jesus, we stop doing anything godly.

If we keep refusing to be “poor in spirit” we will stop doing anything on this planet. None of these principles presented here stop being continuously applicable to even the oldest, most important person on earth.

This concludes your studying for today.
Just spend some time thinking and praying about
what you have studied so far.
Let Jesus use these truths to change your life.
