I Have A Suggestion
The big problem isn’t just allowing Jesus to live His life and do His ministry in and through us. It is a matter of giving Him the permission to do it His way without contaminates. We can’t be constantly trying to add our own opinions, plans, and procedures to Jesus’ message and methods. We are always free to say, think, feel, be, or do anything we want. Jesus’ disciples got to the place where they felt their opinions and methods were just as valid as Jesus’.

Mat 14:14-16 (NIV) When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, He had compassion on them and healed their sick. As evening approached, the disciples came to Him and said, “This is a remote place, and it’s already getting late.
Send the crowds away, so they can go to the villages and buy themselves some food.” Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.”

Now Jesus’ disciples are starting to advise Him on what He should be doing. However, their advice wasn’t nearly as helpful and beneficial as was Jesus’ plan. The disciples tried to mix their opinions, plans, and procedures in with Jesus’ work. Fortunately they were willing to be corrected and got back into total submission to Jesus. That is how we have to be, if we are going to allow Jesus to minister to the needs of hurting people through us. They need all and only what Jesus has to offer; and we need to allow them to get it.
