What’s The Objective Here?
There are two steps to honoring God with our heart:
- Everyone who hears these words of mine.
- Puts them into practice.
If we involve our self in honoring Him with our mouth only, it means we have only heard His words. In other words, we know what He said and we are talking about it, quoting it, explaining it, teaching it to others, singing about it, and praising Him for all that He said and did.

But, we never go on to step two. God expects us to live it. It is only then that we are serving Him with our heart. Those who haven’t heard His words can’t even honor Him with their mouth. They don’t have anything to say about Him and His words. They can’t act like they are serving Him.
It is those who keep learning and learning that can put forth a very convincing act. These are the ones that will say: “Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?” That is a very horrifying situation. This is talking about the judgment day. Once a person is standing before the judgment throne of God, they can’t make any changes in their life. These people are finding out at the moment of judgment that they don’t qualify for spending eternity with God. These people are trying to convince Him that they have proof that they qualify.
