God’s Our Father
Rom 8:15-16 (NIV) For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
When we are hearing all of this from the Holy Spirit, we are feeling a true oneness with God. The Holy Spirit is giving us a deep family connection to our Father. He causes us to know and feel the fact that we are God’s children. This isn’t something we generate on our own. It is “by Him we cry, ‘Abba, Father.’”

This is what Jesus felt as He communicated with His Father. Everything else is based on that relationship.
We need to stay right here at this point in the prayer until the Holy Spirit has opened up our spirit and given us the full experience of being God’s child. We also need to stay right here and let Him develop the true expression from our spirit as we cry out, “Abba, Father.” Then and only then will we be able to go on in the prayer and mean it.
