1 Pet 3:7 (NIV) Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

The goal is to become so one with each other and God that we move in total unity. Believe it or not, this is a vital concept for the ministry.

Until we move into this complete unity, we will constantly be facing ministerial failure. Whatever is blocking the success in the marriage will keep the two of you from being able to get along in the ministry. You will find yourselves trying to work for God with separate projects. As long as the two of you can work for God away from each other, you are able to get along. But, this isn’t God’s plan for the two of you. Your gifts are different and you will be approaching the ministry from different perspectives. But, you will have to do the ministry together. Here comes a very shocking Scripture.
