Mat 6:13 Lead us not into temptation.

No Need For Temptations
When we ask God to not lead us into temptation, we are giving our heart and our desires over to Him. We are telling Him that we want Him to lead us into righteousness. The temptations exercised against our body from the world by means of the devil are being prayed against. We are telling God what our will is concerning the issue. It isn’t just a matter of not wanting to sin, we don’t even want to be tempted to sin.
It won’t be until we get to heaven that we are removed from the presence of sin. However, this part of this prayer deals, on a daily basis, with the presence of sin. Not that it won’t be all around us.

What we are asking God is, to make us unreceptive to its influence. If we don’t feel the temptation, then the power of sin has been stripped from it. Even though it is present all around us, it isn’t tempting us. Asking God to not allow us to be led into temptation is a very powerful prayer to pray every day.
