The Pharisees’ attitude is exclusive. It produces disciples. But, they aren’t beneficial to anyone.

Mat 23:15 (NIV) Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.

This is the kind of addition that this type of effort produces. It spreads for its own benefit rather than the benefit of people and the glory of God. It doesn’t meet any needs among the people. It is designed to meet the needs of the organization.

Jesus, on the other hand, made all He had available to everyone. He lived for ministering to the pain and suffering of all. When He trained trainees, He taught them to serve the needs of the needy.
