Jesus’ Sermon On The Mount
Study Thirteen

This Is Day Two

Eyes NOT Obstructed By Other Things:
Mat 13:15-16 (NIV) For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them.’

BUT BLESSED ARE YOUR EYES BECAUSE THEY SEE, and your ears because they hear.

There is a special attitude in those who are ready to see the things of God. We can see that they really want to know about God and His ways.
They are teachable; they ask sincere questions; they apply themselves; and they have some understanding of what is being said. These are the people Jesus spent His time with. Like the rich young ruler, He would throw out a test to see where people were. If they failed the test, He moved on. If they, like Zacchaeus, passed the test, He took the next step toward salvation for them.

As we work with people, the big question we must always ask is: “Do they have eyes that can see and ears that can hear?”

This concludes your studying for today.
Just spend some time thinking and praying about
what you have studied so far.
Let Jesus use these truths to change your life.
