Jesus’ Sermon On The Mount
Study Two

This Is Day Two
You Are On Page Two of Two Pages

You’re Doing It All Wrong
It is then that our prayer life looks like this:

James 4:2-3 (NIV) You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

Here it is in list form:
  • You want something but don't get it.
  • You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want.
  • You quarrel and fight.
  • You do not have, because you do not ask God.
  • When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.
This Scripture gives us a concise description of the prayer problems many have been struggling with. But, with the Holy Spirit working in us and us working in cooperation with Him, our prayers change in a huge way which changes our lives and ministries in a drastic way.

Rom 14:17-18 (NIV) For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men.

This concludes your studying for today.
