Mat 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Let’s Look At It This Way
James 2:5 (NIV) Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom He promised those who love Him?

The world looks at things differently than God does. We who are trained by the world look at things differently than God does. If we respond to things from God’s perspective, we start being willing to become poor so as to get rich. Make sense? Not to me either. Okay, it makes a little sense. But we can see that most of us are going to need a lot of work if Kingdom concepts are going to become a part of our daily lives. A lot of these concepts are going to appear to us and the world to be backwards.

Only Jesus Looks At Things Correctly
If we pursue things as a poor spirit, who is totally submitted to the training implemented by Jesus, the world is going to consider us to be common and unlearned.
They will see our educational training as something that won’t work in the real world. When we first start out being trained, it seems that way to us. We often found or will find ourselves confused, scared, and facing many doubts. We find ourselves wondering: “How is this going to work in the real world?”

We all have been greatly influenced by the world’s concepts, opinions, and strategies. A major flushing out of these concepts has to take place before God can really use us. Not only do we think differently than God, often our thinking is diametrically opposed to God’s thinking and ways.

If we don’t get our thinking straightened out, we won’t be able to help those around us. Jesus is our only answer to getting, living, and then sharing principles that work in the real world AND in the spirit world at the same time.
