Sanctification starts producing evidence of a pure heart in our relationships with our self, others, and God. Even though these pure heart evidences may be infantile, true Christians will start exhibiting them. Salvation is credited to our account as if we were living a perfect life. Sanctification starts us on the process of heading toward living that perfect life in reality.

Even though it isn’t likely that we will ever reach that perfection in this life, that goal is still aimed at. Here is how the Holy Spirit explains it through Paul.

Phil 3:12 (NIV) Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
