Here’s Proof
Rom 1:19-20 (NIV) Since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities--His eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. Once we start yielding to the teaching of the Holy Spirit, as we read and study the Gospels, He makes it possible for God to start introducing us to the inner workings of His Kingdom. The Holy Spirit will explain Jesus’ terminology to us in such a way that we will see more of the parallels between God’s creation, heaven and earth, and His Kingdom. In many ways we need to start inheriting God’s Kingdom now. Not physically, of course. But, we do need to start learning and experiencing its spiritual principles. We need to better understand how it works, right now. We know how the kingdom of this world works. But, frequently, we know almost nothing about how things work in the spirit realm. That is why Jesus seemed to talk so different. He was always saying things like: “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” What is that supposed to mean? How are dead people going to bury dead people? As I am sure you know, Jesus was using human words to describe Kingdom of heaven concepts. Understanding Spiritual Terms
As the Holy Spirit teaches us more and more about spiritual terms and spiritual matters, we will grow in greater understanding of what Jesus was saying. In the above example, Jesus is laying out certain job descriptions.

He is saying that He wants us to be busy about Kingdom issues rather than so many earthly issues. Let the spiritually dead people bury the physically dead people. Let the spiritually alive people help the spiritually dead people come to life. Doesn’t that make a lot of sense? If we are going to lift the eyes of those we are ministering to toward the things of God, we are going to have to help them learn spiritual terms. They have to know that death means separation and not to cease to exist. They have to know that earthly words have two meanings. They have earthly meanings and spiritual meanings. Seeds being planted, vines and branches, houses built on rocks or sand, yeast in bread, treasures found in fields, sheep and shepherds, and so many other concepts will be expressed by Jesus as He tries to get us to learn and minister through parables. Our poor spirit wants and needs to learn about the Kingdom it belongs to. Our body, the flesh, is having a great time living in its world. From a baby we started learning how things work in the kingdom of the world. What about this Kingdom of God? What is it like? We are going to inherit it. It would be good to know what exactly it is that we are inheriting. Plus, there are things we will be able to control now that we will not be able to control later. A lot of the things we are going to inherit in eternity will be based on what we do now. Getting close to God is one of those issues. The greatest thing about inheriting the Kingdom of God is inheriting the God of the Kingdom.
