Gal 5:22-23 (NIV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

God isn’t just taking us to a level where we have finally stopped breaking the law. He isn’t only developing a sinless Kingdom. He is developing a fruitful Kingdom. As we yield to the Holy Spirit’s removal of illegal traits in our lives, He isn’t trying to empty us of all life’s activities.

God hasn’t reached His goal when we finally don’t do anything. We don’t smoke, we don’t chew, and we don’t go with the girls that do. God’s plan is to get us involved in a life of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against that kind of life.

In other words, from that point on we are no longer under the law. We are fulfilling all the law and actually superseding it.


There is a life in the Spirit. It is full of activity. The activities in the Spirit can completely replace the activities of the sinful nature. God has an awesome life and ministry for us to live seven days a week. It is better than anything the world has to offer. It starts with the laws of God that resist the works of the sinful nature. And, it ends up with the fruit of the Spirit that goes far beyond living all the laws.

This is when we are able to have a mighty impact on being able to change our world. We have moved far away from doing things bad (breaking the Law), we have moved into the fruit of the Spirit where we do a tremendous amount of good things that bring transformation into the lives of the people.
