When you are able to do those things you feel good about and resist those things you feel bad about, you are moving into the area where Jesus is. Social pressure, friendships, and dominate spouses can push you into living a life that makes you quite miserable.

There is a reason you feel bad about those things you know to be wrong. God is give you guidance in your conscience so you won’t be a psychopath. He does this with everyone when they get old enough to be able to handle the responsibility for knowing good from evil. God is speaking to you in your conscience trying to direct you into those things that will bless your life. He is also trying to steer you away from those things that will hurt you.

There are temptations to do things that cause you extreme pleasure; but, once you do them they take control over you. God uses your conscience to warn you so you won’t innocently open that door. Many of these doors are almost impossible for you to close, once you open them.

The reason He is making you feel guilty about them is, He wants to protect you from having to spend a lot of difficult and painful time getting set free from bad things. Jesus has the power to help you take control over your life; and, He has the power to help you be the main influence in your relationship with your friends. You will be helped and you can be a help to those around you.
