The Seven Mandatory Requirements Of God
Thankfulness
What if you did all kinds of good things for a person and they just took them for granted? What if you even made some sacrificial gestures for them and they didn’t appreciate it at all? Jesus died for you sins; rose for your justification, so you could have a perfect record with God, and then made you His joint or coheir in eternity. If you fail to appreciate Him, praise Him, and thank Him for all those things He has already done for you, He can stop answering your prayers positively.
Jesus is all about a good, loving relationship with you. One of the reasons He blesses you, takes care of you, and meets your needs is to help you respond in thankfulness. If you do that, it helps you feel special toward Him and seek to have a wonderful relationship with Him. If you take His gifts for granted, you will take Him for granted, you will ignore Him, and only spend time with Him when you want something. Jesus knows that this relationship with Him is going to bless you and be wonderful for you.
Jesus loves you and enjoys your company. He wants to spend a lot of time with you. He has so much to give you, teach you, and join you in doing. He has things that He wants to do with you that are going to be so exciting. But, that is only possible, if you allow thankfulness to build this relationship. Let Jesus show you all the wonderful, supernatural things He has already done for you. Then make a list of them all and start thanking, praising, and appreciating Him for them.
If this is the area where you are suffering the most, then it would be good for you to take this study. Just select the “Thankful” word in the gray box and it make it the focus of your study. |
