This is a sin. It isn’t just a matter of something controlling you that you don’t like. It is something Jesus is more than willing to help you get free from. You don’t have to see if it is God’s will. God wants to set you free from all sin. Things like pornography get Jesus’ full attention so as to help you be empowered to stop sinning. The important thing is to be willing to let Jesus teach you vital principles that empower you to win over addiction. He will help you fight spiritual warfare and defeat Satan’s temptations.

Another big issue has to do with why pornography is something you feel you need to do. There can be emotional issues, relationship problems, and other stressing things that cause you to feel like you have to self-medicate. Jesus will help you see if there is some kind of damage or hurt that is driving you toward pornography. He will be able to go into the areas of your heart that no one can access. He will help you be set free from those things that are setting you up for failure.

Once you open the door to something like pornography, you have exposed your body to extreme pleasure. The moment your body experiences extreme pleasure, it wants it on a constant basis. It will try to drive you away from those things that only provide you and it with mild pleasures. This can take your life away from you; you can find yourself neglecting things that are normal requirements of life. It can also change you reasons for why you do what you do. Most everything you do can be setting you up for your next time of extreme pleasure.
