Love is another of the mandatory requirements of God; and, as usual, it is one that He has supernaturally provided to you. When you were saved and justified, God poured His love into your heart. All you have to do is learn how to yield to it. It is obviously a very powerful attitude and emotion that helps you be able to love God, yourself, and your neighbor, as yourself. When you are properly yielding to God’s love, you don’t have to have anything or anyone force you to do the right things.

God has a whole list of things He has labelled sin and a whole list of things He labelled righteousness. The sin things hurt you, other people, and God’s plan. The righteous things bless you, other people, and God’s plan. If you love God, yourself, and other people, you will only treat them with righteous things. Jesus wants to teach you how to yield to love, so you can be automatically motivated to only do righteous things. As that happens, you become more successful in life here on earth and more equipped to be successful in eternity.

Love is a powerful God-gift that helps you with why you do what you do. Even if you fail with some effort, God looks at what motivated you to do it. If you were doing it out of love, even if it didn’t turn out to look like love, God credits it to you as love. The more you learn how to yield to God’s love, the more people like you, trust you, and want to be around you. They can tell that you like them and want the very best for them. Since the major aspect of your life have to do with relationships, this makes a big difference.
