Welcome To The “Strategy” Studies And Prayers
Life Without Strategy
What if you just get in your car and drive? What if you get in a sail boat and just let the wind take you wherever it blows? Things may go fine for a while; but, sooner or later you will need to decide where you want to go. As you look over your life, why are you working where you are working? Who is causing you to do what you do most of your day? Are you living the life you have always wanted to live? When you move into eternity, will you have lived in such a way that your life here counted for laying up treasure in heaven?
Life With Eternal Value
Mat 6:19-21 (NIV) Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
How would you start making investments in eternity? What would it take to so structure your life where you and Jesus got it on a path to great success here that was a continuous investment in your eternal life with Him? As you look at Matthew 6:19-21 above, you can see that Jesus had a strategy in mind that isn’t always obvious to us humans. It would be easy to assume that it might be too difficult and inconvenient for you to accept at this stage of your life. But, Jesus never lays heavy burdens on people’s lives; He actually removes them.
Life With Jesus
Mat 11:28-30 (NIV) Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Laying Out A Life-Plan
Starting Your Life Of Victory
You and Jesus will be looking at three life-issues. The first issue is, Starting Your Life Of Victory. Jesus wants the first thing you do is--plan on winning. You may assume that, that is everyone’s goal, but it isn’t. If you set out on a path that may meet some of your goals but it’s not The Victorious Christian Life goal, then you may reach that partial goal while losing everything else. Have you ever experienced that? Have you ever gone after something or someone thinking that it was going to make you happy and it didn’t?
Understanding Your Life Of Victory
In the second issue, Understanding Your Life Of Victory, Jesus will give you a bird’s eye view of what a life of success and victory looks like. If you think you know how to make yourself happy and you are wrong, then it is possible for you to be disappointed at the end of your pursuit. Jesus knows how to help you see what life is all about. He can show you why some things work and some things don’t. He can show you why God labelled some things sins and other things righteousness.
Living The Life Of Victory
In the third issue, Living The Life Of Victory, it is assumed that Jesus has been successful in helping you see that He has a way of life that is awesome. The hope is that you see Jesus’ strategy for your life and you want to join Him in putting it together. At this point, Jesus will take all those things He has shown you and get you started heading in that direction. He will lay out actual strategies, plans, and goals for you to accept for your life here on earth and for investing in your eternal life.

Looking At Jesus’ Strategy
Starting Your Life Of Victory
If you aren’t aware of there being a spirit realm, then you see good and bad things happening to you randomly. You may be living a life of hoping that everything goes well. If you can’t see how to bring control over your circumstances, then you have your fingers crossed, hoping that this time you get a break. If some of your life is lived like there isn’t a supernatural, loving, relational God in heaven, then you are responsible for just doing your best to win at life.
Are You Aware Of This?
2 Cor 10:3-4 (NIV) For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. Why are you to put on the full armor of God according to Ephesians 6:10-17? Why is the Bible talking about weapons and says things like: Eph 6:12 (NIV) “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”?
Most people have no idea what the spirit realm is all about. We have all had bad, depressing, frustrating, and defeated thoughts and feelings come into our mind and our heart. If you accept these thoughts and feelings as being from you, you will have a difficult time getting out of bed in the morning. Jesus and the Bible are going to help you understand that these ideas and emotions originate from Satan. When you grow in identifying the thoughts that come from Satan, you will resist them and keep them from becoming yours.
Understanding Your Life Of Victory
It’s true that you have had to spend a lot of time, effort, and money getting where you are as a human. But, when you die, it will all dissipate and come to an end. Those things you work with Jesus on will never end. Plus, if you let Jesus help you understand His life principles, you can take a lot of what you do here and transfer them into eternity. As Jesus changes your motives for why you do what you do, much of what you do will be invested as treasures for your eternity with Him.
Keep in mind that the earth and your life on it was designed by Jesus to represent the spirit realm. When Jesus told people parables, He was using human and earthly events and situations to illustrate God’s Kingdom and how to get there. Most of everything you have, are, and will experience are life-classes that have been training you as a child of God. A part of Jesus’ training will be to help you take advantage of all these life-classes. Realizing this, will enhance your understanding and life-performance in a great and wonderful way.
Living Your Life Of Victory
Just like there are negative things you want Jesus to deliver you from, such as your struggles with life, there are also negative experiences and circumstances that you want Jesus to set you free from as well. However, God doesn’t just want to deliver you from life issues or these negative experiences and circumstances, He wants to replace them with positive, powerful, and wonderful things. John 10:10 (NIV) The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full (abundance).
Jesus isn’t going to take you through Living Victoriously just so you can win over all the painful, harmful, and negative things in your life. He is mostly going to get your life filled with positive, happy, and joyous things that crowd out the painful, harmful, and negative things. In this study and prayer time, Jesus will be working on your schedule, helping you to set superior goals, and helping you lay out strategies that will help you put a plan together. They will direct you into reaching some of the most incredible goals you have ever seen.
