The reason earth has so many problems is because people aren’t living like God wants them to. They are doing things that the Bible tells them not to. They think they are wiser and smarter than God; so they do things contrary to what the Bible says. In heaven, God’s will is respected and followed. They have seen angels fall. They have seen what it is like here on earth. The beings in heaven follow God’s will completely, because they know it is the right way to live. They have seen the benefits of it all. They believe in God’s will because they are living a life that is more wonderful than any of us can imagine. Even though we haven’t seen how great God’s will has affected heaven, we have had plenty of chances to catch glimpses of its greatness. We have seen the greatness of salvation. We have seen the changed lives of various Christians around us. We have seen miracles in our own life. And, it all came from yielding to God’s will.

It is difficult for us to have our own will and then submit to another will. But, God insists on us always having our free will. It would be a lot easier for Him to force us to see how perfect His will is for us and those around us.

It takes so much longer for us to finally tell God we want His will for our lives and us actually submit to Him. We find ourselves submitting a little bit here and there and then taking our lives back. We struggle with opening our hearts and lives to Him and totally trusting Him for everything. It is extremely hard for all of us. We all go through this battle with fears of letting go and letting God have His way. But, we can take the first steps toward submitting to His will. We can start praying for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done in our lives. As we pray, God will gently show us all the benefits of living a life where His will is being done right here on earth. As we pray, God will start gradually revealing His Kingdom and His will to us so we can see it and trust Him to give it to us.

Start praying for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done in your own life. Make this a regular part of your prayer time. Ask Him to show you the benefits of His Kingdom and His will. Pray that He will help you see it so clearly that you give more and more of your own will over to Him. Ask Him to help you live the life He wants you to have and be surrounded with the circumstances He wants for you.
