We may never understand and know all there is to the voice tone and character of God. But the Holy Spirit does. The Bible and the Holy Spirit’s training from the Bible are giving you a lot of information about God’s tone and character. As you grow in your knowledge of the Bible and its meaning, the Holy Spirit uses that information to protect you from deceptions. The Holy Spirit won’t use things you haven’t learned yet. He will only apply those things you have exposed yourself to. If you don’t know and understand a certain characteristic about God’s voice, the issues will be whether or not you should know. If you are neglecting your devotions, prayer times, Bible reading and studying, then it will cause problems in your life.

If you don’t know something and you have been doing your part to know it, then God won’t allow that issue, temptation, or problem to come your way.

If we should but don’t know and understand a truth, it will hurt us. Pray that God will help you apply yourself to truth. Ask for His power and anointing to inspire you to love doing devotions, praying, reading and studying your Bible. Ask Him to help you do these things out of enjoyment and not from fear. If you start being hurt by someone you should have recognized as a false prophet, be sure to ask your heavenly Father if it was because you weren’t properly applying yourself. He will lovingly and gently show you how to better use your time.
