As we listen to someone who is talking to us, we get an impression as to how they feel about us. It is a certain tone in their voice that lets us know how they feel. There is a certain spiritual voice tone to every thought, feeling, circumstance, word, or deed from the influences of your life. The spiritual tone from every influence coming your way is an expression of a purpose. You can tell what a person’s purpose is for saying certain things to you.

Various thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds hurt your feelings, attack your esteem, defame you, belittle you, or try to defeat you. When these influences start heading in the direction of doing damage to you, you have the responsibility to run from them. It is your assignment from Jesus to only allow yourself to be exposed to criticism or correction that is showing you a way to grow and excel. God’s correction ALWAYS starts with HOW you will be able to use His correction to go in another direction. Self, worldly, and satanic criticism and correction ALWAYS leads down a dead-end street. Their voice tone is ALWAYS one of defeat, hopelessness, helplessness, condemnation, and no way out.

Jesus will say things that will hurt your feelings, point out errors and mistakes, show you your weaknesses and flaws, and tell you things you need to change and improve on; but, He will ALWAYS give you the answer for how to be healed, helped, changed, and transformed. Plus Jesus will empower you to make those changes He is challenging you to make.

You may react to His words with feelings of defeat, hopelessness, helplessness, condemnation or feel like there is no way to make the change. But, those feelings aren’t from Jesus. Satan is taking the words from your Bible and telling you, you don’t stand a chance of EVER being healed, helped, or transformed. It is at that point you have a choice to believe the Bible or the voice of Satan. The Bible says Jesus will NEVER leave you or abandon you. You have to know Jesus’ character of sacrificial love, honesty, integrity, faithfulness, and trustworthiness. These are Jesus’ spiritual voice tones. If He is saying something that is Biblical and you are reacting in a non-biblical way, you are being exposed to Jesus’ voice and Satan’s voice at the same time.

Ask Jesus to help you respond properly to His voice that inspires faith, hope, trust, and causes you to feel love. Ask Him to help you respond with a reaction that is from Him. Pray that He will empower you to RESIST the devil’s voice that is pushing you toward feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, and defeat. Tell Jesus you know your reaction isn’t because of what He is saying. Let Jesus know you are aware that it is Satan trying to interpret Jesus’ words to you. Pray that Jesus will help you resist Satan’s interpretation of no hope and no way out. Thank Jesus for His correction in your life and ask Him to strengthen and stabilize your faith. Let Him help you believe you WILL be changed, transformed, and healed in that area of correction.
