Remaining In Jesus
Your Jesus-Time
Sometimes you can get to thinking that you have done enough spiritual things to last you for a lifetime. You can just want to coast for awhile. Other times you can get so busy you can feel like you just don’t have time to do your daily devotions. So you put them off for a day or two and it turns into weeks and months. You can start thinking that these devotions aren’t doing you much good. But, it is like eating food, you may not remember what you ate yesterday, however, it is in you giving you power and building your cells.

Your Jesus-Growth
If you can only realize how important your relationship with Jesus is. Having this regular diet of spiritual input has changed and empowered you in ways you can’t even imagine. David had no idea that all of his time with God had made such a difference. It didn’t start out that way. David didn’t immediately become ready for Goliath. He wasn’t even ready for the lion or the bear in the beginning. It all took place one day at a time. He gradually got into the habit of spending time with God. After several years, it was incredible what happened to him.

Your Jesus-Need
As you look back on those times when you weren’t ready spiritually, you may have failed morally, failed in your integrity, failed in your relationships, or failed in your emotions. It is far better to use your past mistakes than allow yourself to make new ones. Spend some time seeing that isn’t worth it because of the damage caused through neglected time with Jesus. Help yourself see that it is clear you should have REMAINED in Jesus.

The Process Of
Remaining In Jesus
The Importance Of Remaining In Jesus
You can’t go back and undo those mistakes and failures in the past. You must repent and ask Jesus to forgive you. But, the events of your failure remain as being done. You are completely forgiven as if you didn’t do them. However, don’t let Satan talk you into sinning and then asking for forgiveness later. You will never be able to undo what you did. That is why preventing these things by remaining in Jesus is so important.

Abusing Repentance
If you sin, you can get back into your relationship with Jesus and stop the spiritual bleeding. The event with David’s failure with Bathsheba is still written in the Bible so we can all see the importance of REMAINING in Jesus. But, it also helps you recover from your failures and mistakes. David didn’t keep heading in the downward direction he had been going. He repented and started spending time with God again. But, David’s deeds never became undone. Uriah, Bathsheba’s husband was still dead.

Preventative Procedures
Pray that you will always remain in Jesus. Ask God to help you always do your daily devotions, attend church faithfully, read and study your Bible, listen to Christian music, read good Christian books, and have good Christian fellowship. Let Him anoint your life and give you the power to stay in close contact with Jesus every day for the rest of your life.
