The Christian life is a wonderful way to live life. The Bible draws out a way of living that gives you happiness, joy, peace, victory, blessings, fulfillment, satisfaction, accomplishments, success, and pleasure. If you actually live that life, you will have all the wonderful things the Bible promises and tells you to do. But, the Christian life takes supernatural power to live.

As much as you would like to live the way the Bible lays it out, you lack the abilities and power to carry it out. You can want to do the right things; and that is a great attitude. You can try to do the right things; and that is an admirable effort. You can promise yourself, God, and others that you will start doing the right things; and that is having good intensions. But, your want, trying, and promising won’t produce good things coming out of your life. It won’t even stop you from doing bad or evil things.

It is going to take more than you have to offer to live the life you should be living. The life Jesus lived is now available to you. You can use your faith and gain direct access to Jesus’ power to live a good and successful life. Salvation has made it possible for you to tap into Jesus’ life. As long and as often as you are willing to believe and yield to Jesus’ life, you can start doing things that are good and beneficial to you and your friends.

Your faith will be like you taking hold of a faucet handle and turning on the water. When your faith, trust, belief, dependency, and reliance are in Jesus living His life through you, the Christian life will start flowing through you. You will begin seeing those characteristics described in the Bible, flowing through your thoughts, feelings, words, and actions. You will see why faith in Jesus is so important. You will see why yielding to Jesus is so vital. And, you will see why Jesus living through you will make such a difference.

Ask Jesus to live His life through you. Give Him permission to think, feel, say, and do those things He desires to produce. Ask Him to help you give Him permission to live His life in and through you on a continuous basis. Tell Him you want His character and attitudes to flow through all of your thoughts, feelings, words, and deeds. Make Him your source of power, skills, and abilities. Ask Him to teach you how to become a trained, skilled, talented, experienced, mature, adult child of God.
