Winning Through Understanding

Day Three    Page Two

This Week’s “Walking With Jesus” Reading
Recommendation:
Luke Chapters 15 And 16

Being Qualified
Self-confidence can cause those who aren’t qualified to try to help hurting people. God tries to take away our self-confidence and replace it with God-confidence. As this happens, we can be at a stage where we lack any confidence. Our self-confidence is gone; but, we haven’t yet allowed God’s evaluation of us to be our confidence. God has been doing wonderful, powerful things in your life. These are things that are worth talking about. God isn’t asking us to save anyone. He isn’t asking us to heal or deliver those around us. He is just asking us to so appreciate all the wonderful and dynamic things He has done that we become willing to tell others about them. He is just asking us to allow ourselves to get so excited about the benefits that we talk about them. They are working for you and God will do the same for others. They just need to know where to look in order to find help.

The more God heals and blesses you, the greater your testimony is. You are an eye witness of God’s greatness. You don’t have to be great; you just have to know the God Who is great. You don’t have to be perfect; you just have to know the God Who is perfect. You don’t have to know all the answers, you just have to point them to the One Who does.
God is giving you a lot of answers to a lot of the problems you used to be going through. However, the answer He gave you may not be the one He wants to give to your friends and associates. The way you got your answers was to develop a personal relationship with your heavenly Father. The relationship started producing the answers you were looking for. You don’t have to or need to be able to answer all the questions people pose to you. Just keep showing them how to get them from their heavenly Father. Just show them how to become God’s child through Jesus and then keep encouraging them to pray, read and study their Bible, and spend time with other Christians. Eventually all their questions will be answered. You just need to help them be patient with God’s system for giving them the answers.

Ask God to help you have His confidence in place of your own confidence. Ask Him to empower you to start telling others about how great He is. Pray that He will fill your heart with such excitement that you begin telling everyone you come in contact with about what He has done for you. Ask Him to help you remember all He has done for you and how wonderful it is.

This concludes your devotions for today.
Just spend some time thinking and praying about
what you have read and heard so far.
Let Jesus use these ideas and principles to change your life.
