Just because you were given the ability to understand spiritual things doesn’t mean you will instantly get the point of that truth. Satan, your body, and concepts the world taught you will resist you getting the truths of God and His Word. Satan will try to get you to believe the opposite of what the Bible says. Your body will try to put a spin on God’s truths and make them mean things that will bring it pleasure. The world will try to get you to replace the truths of God with concepts they represent. It is up to you to know you have the mind of Jesus; and it is up to you to insist on finding out what God is trying to say to you. All during the battle of Satan, your body, and worldly philosophies coming against you, you have to insist on reading and studying your Bible to find out what God has to say on the matter.

Not only do you have to insist on sticking with your Bible for your answers. You have to believe you CAN understand what the Bible means when you read and study it.

Even though you are experiencing great confusion from all those other opinions and thoughts coming into your mind, you need to keep affirming the fact that you WILL get the meaning from God. Since you DO have the mind of Jesus, you will need to be persistent about saying and knowing the true meaning will come. It may take a lot of reading, studying, praying, and believing; but you just have to refuse to believe you can’t understand and grasp it.

Ask Jesus to help you refuse to get your information from any other source than your Bible and the interpretation from the Holy Spirit. Pray that He will help you believe you will understand the things you read. Ask for persistence as you fight the battle against the devil, your body, and the world’s philosophies. Ask for patience as you keep looking for the answers in God’s Word.
