We all need God’s help; but, a lot of that help has to come through people. That is the way God has designed His system. We may not agree with this system; and we may try to make it work some other way. But that is why so many people are so frustrated with life and Christianity. Just like we can’t make wheat grow the way we think it should, we can’t make winning at life work the way we want it to.

If you are going to be helped, God is going to use people to bring His power and blessings to you. If your friends and associates are going to be helped, then God will be flowing through you and other Christians to bring His help to them. But, if there are areas of your heart where you are resistive to His help, you won’t be helped and you won’t be able to bring help in that area to others.

Being able to understand God’s truth and allowing that truth to heal you will bring a chain of events that will touch the lives of large quantities of people. The reason you are healed in so many areas of your life is because the disciples, way back in Jesus’ day, were helped.

The healing they experienced through Jesus was shared with those around them; and then those people shared it with those around them. That process kept going from generation to generation until one day someone shared it with you.

The fact that you understand God’s truth and are being healed by it is very important to you; and it is important to people generations from now. It all starts with a moment of studying your Bible and, like a seed, a wonderful truth begins to grow in your heart. But that was only possible because you allowed your heavenly Father to soften your heart. You had to give up your protection methods and allow Him to soften your heart and take over the responsibility of protecting you. A soft heart made you vulnerable to people’s hurtful words and actions; but, you are learning how to trust God to provide you with His protection.

Pray that your heavenly Father will help you trust Him to protect you from those things that will hurt and damage you. Tell Him how hard it is for you to let go of these things you have used to protect yourself. Let Him have all your fears and hesitations. Ask Him to show you how much He loves you and wants the very best for you. Pray that He will help you relax in His care and be able to trust Him with the most damaged areas of your heart and emotions.
