We are used to certain “natural” things happening in this world. They happen all the time. We accept them as natural occurrences that we can expect. Then there are things that just don’t happen naturally. There are supernatural events that we realize only God can do. They are miracles that take the power of God to accomplish. The truth is, everything around us is a miracle of God. The existence of the universe, our planet, and us people are all created miracles of God. However, we have learned to accept those things that God set in motion that occur naturally. From time to time we need things to happen to us that don’t happen naturally. We need the supernatural power of God to intervene in our life. This is the place where God is trying to take us. He wants us to move from the natural events of life into the supernatural world where He lives. He wants us to allow Him to start doing those things He does “naturally.” If we only allow God to do things we are used to, then He can’t be God in our life. God lives in the supernatural realm and wants to do God-sized things in us and our circumstances.

The reason God put us on this planet was to limit our powers and abilities until we became spiritually mature enough to operate out of love, grace, and mercy.

He didn’t want humans to have supernatural power until they had the character to be trusted with it. But as you grow spiritually, He wants to start showing you what He can do for you as your God. He wants to be able to be God in your life by doing God things in and through you. A lot of our needs are greater than the natural occurrences that take place in this world. Most of them need supernatural intervention. Most of them need the kind of help only God can give us. These kinds of needs scare us. They are needs we can’t solve on our own; but, they are the kinds of needs that push us in God’s direction. It is during these times that we seek Him more than we would, if we didn’t have these big needs. When God responds to these “impossible” situations with great power, our attitudes change toward Him and the Christian life He has given us. Our respect for Him grows and our appreciation for salvation grows.

Pray that you will be willing to move from the way life is to the way life is with God’s supernatural power. Ask Jesus to help you learn how to have faith in God-sized occurrences. Ask Him to help you allow God to be God in your life. Tell Him you want to learn how to get total, instant, and permanent supernatural answers to the needs you have.
