When you start giving people spiritual assignments, it is up to them to take their spiritual medicine. As you are helping them get healed and blessed by God, there are certain things they have to do. They are the same things you had to do and are doing.

Don’t try to decide who will follow your prescribed spiritual medication and who won’t. Your job is to tell them what they are going to need to do. Their responsibility is to follow your assignments. Just keep helping them to understand WHY they need to do what you are telling them. Share how much these things are helping you. Tell them why these Scriptures are helping you.

Show your friends your schedule, the procedures you use as you read these things and pray about them. Introduce them into the life they will have once they start following your advice. The fact that you KNOW these Scriptures will change their life, will help you stick with them for as long as the person you are working with will keep coming to you.

Be very patient with your friends; never give up on them. Let them hear God’s love and generosity in your voice. Don’t feel the need to help them with solutions to problems in their life that caused them to come for help in the first place. It is sad that God had to allow them to get to such a low place. But He loves them enough that He has put their eternity above their temporary, physical needs.

Keep talking about spiritual things with them. Don’t argue, debate, try to convince, or try to force them to decide for Jesus. Just keep sharing with them how much these Scriptures have helped you and your Christian friends.

Ask Jesus to help you stay on track as it relates to spiritual talk. Let the Holy Spirit take you into the Gospels and show you how Jesus talked. Watch Jesus take physical issues and teach spiritual principles. Ask Jesus to show you why He did things the way He did. Keep learning at the feet of the Master.
