Who God Is Through You

Day Two    Page One

This Week’s “Walking With Jesus” Reading
Recommendation:
Matthew Chapters 13 And 14

Yielding To Jesus’ Power To
Seek God Passionately
You can have great faith; you can be very aware of God’s greatness; and you can know about all of His promises and provisions; but, if you don't have a close and intimate relationship with Him, you will live far below the plans God has for you.

Your relationship with your heavenly Father is much more exciting than ANY of the things you will do together with Him. You know you need God’s help and provisions; you are aware of the fact that you need His blessings. Jesus wants to help you see how much you need God, Himself. It is a lot of fun working with God; but, it is life-giving and life-saving to have a relationship with Him. The work of God will not fill the huge hole you have in your heart that only God can fill.

Being Able To FEEL Love
We all need to passionately seek God. One of the greatest blessings and rewards you will receive from God is being able to establish a close relationship with Him. Your heart has all kinds of damage, pain, needs, and emotional crises. Loneliness, hopelessness, helplessness, fear, frustrations and all kinds of other negative emotions can dominate your heart. Nothing but a relationship with Jesus, your heavenly Father, and the Holy Spirit will meet the needs and heal the pain that resides there. All the pleasure in the world will not take the place of heart health.
Getting Your Heart Healed
While having all kinds of fun, you can still FEEL the nagging hurt deep down inside you; you can FEEL something is missing. You can tell that all your physical and spiritual activities aren’t quite satisfying your needs. It isn’t until you get the power from Jesus to passionately, earnestly seek your heavenly Father that your needs get met all the way down to the core of your being.

Pray for Jesus’ power to passionately, earnestly seek a close and intimate relationship with your heavenly Father. Ask Him to help you yield to the Holy Spirit as He intercedes for you from the deep recesses of your heart. Let the Holy Spirit bring all of the pain and suffering to the surface of your consciousness so you can release it to God.

Pray that you will be willing to feel what your heart is holding in, and will let it express itself with emotional expressions; if tears flow, let them flow. Ask Jesus to help you not hold back the emotions your heart needs to let go of.
